Morningside Drive Apartments

ACH Consulting Engineers are providing structural engineering design, detailing and construction observation services for the re-cladding of the 60 unit apartment complex over basement carpark and podium.

Consideration of temporary constructive loading to the podium and design of propping for the same was required. Structural retro-fit of louvre system and complimentary integrated balustrades were designed to fit with the original style of construction.

This project was a new two storey residential dwelling with an approximate 750sqm total floor area as well as two separate single storey structures for the gym and barn, situated on a 6.4 acre property in Coatesville.

Beach Front Bach Design Challenge

The proposed bach is a single storey residential dwelling with 2 separate split-level guest house and a boat shed. The stunning beach front property is situated at North Cove Kawau Island and can only be accessed via boat or helicopter. It has an architectural design that makes the house look as if it is floating when viewed from afar during a high tide. Due to the complicated nature of the design, the main structure which is mostly glazed all around the exterior, is made up of structural steel beams and columns to resist wind and seismic loads.
