Private Residence

This project was a new two storey residential dwelling with an approximate 750sqm total floor area as well as two separate single storey structures for the gym and barn, situated on a 6.4 acre property in Coatesville.

ACH Consulting Engineers provided stormwater mitigation and structural engineering design and details.

The area is on a 'very high' wind zone, thus requiring steel portal frames in combination with gib and ply bracing to resist lateral loads.

The open plan living area will have steel beams and posts supporting the floor structure above. External framed walls will be clad with aerated concrete panels and schist stone veneer at some areas. The whole structure will be supported on ribraft slab foundation.
