Coast to Coast 2011

January 2011 This years Speight’s Coast to Coast saw a much different set of weather conditions prevail from that of the ‘weather bomb’ that effected last years race.
One of our own Engineer’s, Louise Mark, lined up on the beach at Kumara on the South Island’s West Coast to have another crack at New Zealand’s famous multisport event.
The day held a few upsets with very gusty wind conditions causing havoc on the 70km kayak leg, however a gutsy final ride into Christchurch saw Louise hold on to 4th place in the Open category.
