I joined ACH in 2008 straight out of high school, as the receptionist and administration assistant. Since then ACH and I have grown together, and I know this place like the back of my hand. I’ve poured my heart into this (what was) little business, and helped it grow in size to the point where, today, we are bursting at the seams and building a new office to accommodate our expanding workforce.
Over my time at ACH, I have continued to pursue my own professional development, including completing a Graduate Diploma in Business from Massey University. This obviously, has given me even more tools with which to foster the success of the company. I have worked to gain tertiary ACC certification for our Health and Safety practices, as well as ISO 9001 and 14001 compliance for our Quality and Environmental Management systems.
While I am not an engineer myself, over the past years I have been soaking up all the industry has to offer and have a much greater respect for the work that goes into our infrastructure and developments across Auckland and the country.
As well as providing operational management for ACH, I also design and develop custom software solutions for professional firms to improve their productivity. Fuelled by a passion for efficiency and a disdain for menial unfulfilling work, I really get a buzz off improving the quality, reliability and enjoyment of work for my staff and my customers.
In terms of pushing ACH to be even more successful and to provide the best service, I think it’s absolutely key to have the right people on board. People who value clients, people who are proud of their work, people who are willing to invest in growing the next generation of engineers. I am constantly on the lookout for exceptional people who can help us grow that culture.
Outside of work, I love to dance and spend many weekends away teaching and competing throughout NZ and abroad.
